Renowned Nigerian comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun, generally referred to as AY, has shared how his life was transformed while working as a bartender by renowned Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, also known as RMD.
According to Alabareports, the comedian told Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo about this in an open interview.

According to AY, he spoke with RMD about his desire to enter the entertainment industry.

But the actor told him to resign from his work and return to school since learning is vital and everything else will fall into place.

“I was doing everything that it takes to get into the entertainment space,” he declared. And at some point, I began serving drinks for the NNPC Junior Staff Club.

Call To Bar, my television series, was inspired by that. My experiences are the inspiration for everything around me, including my stories and films.

I saw a number of celebrities come to perform when I was a bartender, including Alex O and Shina Peters. I would promise myself that I would enter the entertainment industry at some point in the future.

“Well, a very long time ago, I addressed RMD when he arrived. During our conversation, he suggested that I return to my studies. “Education is important,” he declared. Believe me, after that, all of these things would occur.

“So that’s how I got accepted to study theater arts at Delta State University.”
