Nigerian legendary rapper Ogunmefun Olanrewaju, popularly known as Vector, has reacted to the conversation going around that he is dropping a diss song for Wizkid.
In a recent interview with a British magazine, Afrobeats singer Wizkid stated that he no longer listens to rap music because he thinks the genre is dull and dead. This statement drew a lot of criticism, notably from Nigerian rappers M.I., Blaqbonez, Ladipoe, Oladips, and others.
Wizkid continued to humiliate Nigerian rappers after the responses, referring to them as “stupid f**ks” as well.
When asked about the Wizkid remark, Vector stated that everyone involved in the “rap is dead” discussion is to blame and that Wizkid shouldn’t be the target of such criticism. Even those who are meant to be supporting Nigerian rap music, in Vector’s opinion, pay little heed.
The rapper from Lafiaji continued by mentioning how many people believe their song “Clowns” featuring Mavin Records rapper Ladipoe is a diss track for Wizkid. Vector emphasized his first point by stating that if the public had been as aware of the genre as they claimed, they would have been aware that he had released the song before Wizkid made the hip-hop remark.
