Popular comedian Bovi has accused Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro of being to fault for his team’s 2-1 loss to Cote d’Ivoire in the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations final. Afcon finished on Sunday.
Bovi responded via his X Twitter, attributing the three-time African champs’ loss on coach Peseiro’s strategies.
He criticized Peseiro’s defensive-first approach, emphasizing that he would have been incensed even if Nigeria had prevailed.
Bovi penned: “Call the coach out. We are a flamboyant football nation. fluidity in dribbles, passes, and attacks. Not a full-on defense. If we had prevailed, I would still be furious. The players clearly didn’t understand the style.
