According to Naija News, a notorious bandit boss who was allegedly behind multiple attacks, including one on the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna, Boderi, has been murdered by Nigerian Army personnel.

Army spokesperson Maj-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu revealed in a statement released on Thursday that the terrorist was just neutralized by troops from 1 Division Headquarters during an ambush operation.

Boderi was thought to be the mastermind behind the attacks on the NDA in Kaduna, in addition to the abductions of the Yauri schoolgirls and Greenfield University students.

Nwachukwu claimed that Boderi and another well-known bandit boss, Bodejo, were killed by the soldiers.

According to intelligence sources, infamous bandit Kingpin Boderi, who masterminded a number of well-known kidnappers.

“During the approximately one-hour long gunfight that ensued, the troops managed to neutralize two of the rebels and seize one AK-47 rifle, one AK-47 magazine, three 7.62mm Special rounds, one Techno phone, three Hilux and motorcycle keys, wraps containing suspected marijuana, tramadol tablets, and 13,200 Naira.”

Sadly, during the conflict, a few of the cattle that the rebels had rustled and used as shields were caught in the gunfire. Troops are continue pursuing the escaping insurgents and are committed to ending armed conflict in the region.

On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, militants were attacked near the Bada during a separate operation conducted by soldiers from 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, Nwachukwu said.
