Officially, popular reggaeton artist Ramón Ayala, often known as Daddy Yankee, has stepped away from music.On the last day of his farewell tour, La Meta, in Puerto Rico this past weekend, the rapper and singer from Puerto Rico made this announcement live on stage.
He declared that his current goals are to “evangelize the world” and follow Jesus.
“The King Of Reggaeton” said in a video statement posted on his Instagram page that he felt empty in some way and had been looking for someone to fill the hole in his life for a while.
“I was able to travel the world for years winning many awards, applause and praise, but I realized something that the Bible said,” the ‘Despacito’ crooner said in his speech.
