ESE BIOGRAPHY

ESE is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, model and serial entrepreneur with an effervescent vocal range with which she delivers soulful sonar vibrations alongside deep meaningful, sensual and playful lyrics that seep into the heart and stirs the soul.

ESE ORIGIN

Hailing from Orogun in Delta State, Okija in Anambra State and roots in Benin, her background is an amalgamation of different south-eastern Nigerian Cultures
Her father is from the Urhobo- speaking tribe and her mother from Igbo-speaking tribe, Her maternal grandmother hails from Benin tribe of Nigeria

EARLY CHILDHOOD

ESE discovered her passion for music at a young age, growing up with a diverse range of music such as classical, country, gospel, bollywood and reggae music. She often sang Disney songs with her sisters growing up and in the choir of her local church during her teen years. She later grew into her own repoitorie guided by the influence of SADE, Jhene Aiko, Nina Simone and others as she embarked on her independent music career in 2019 at the age of 25.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

ESE was raised in Lagos. She attended Homat Comprehensive College, Ikorodu Lagos where she obtained her SSCE. She proceeded to study Computer Science at Babcock University

ESE CAREER

ESE’s career in Entertainment began as Fashion Model after Winner Pearl Model Look in 2013. She signed with a Top Modelling Agency and moved to South Africa where she worked with Top Designers at South Africa Fashion Week and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Africa. She then moved to New York to expand her career in the modelling business. After a successful two years in the states which saw her working for global household brands like Target, Nissan, Mac Cosmetics and more. She had an infamous break to Rishikesh Northern India where she got certified as a 200hr Yoga Instructor.

In 2019, she moved back to Lagos and founded NAPPYESE. A social holistic wellness lifestyle company helping Empaths and Highly Sensitive People become the best versions of themselves through sustainable wellness practices.

Alongside building her brand and business ESE begun writing and recording music while collaborating with local beat makers. Her first singles So It Goes, Baby Boy You Know Say, All We Need is Love, No Food were all combined to deliver her first Extended Play (EP) in 2019 which was further extended with the inclusion of Dropout in 2022.
Inner Peace EP highlighted the range of her talents and ability to work within different music genres, more specifically in Afro-Soul, Pop, Beats & Fusion

ESE continued releasing music videos and singles including This Love, Finalé and Autumn Nights. In 2023 collaborations with international Underground sound composers and rapper from Italy and the US respectively birthed Power of my Mind and ZOOM.
