Singer Tyla Laura Seethal, better known by her stage as Tyla, from South Africa, has disclosed that she struggled to persuade her parents to allow her pursue her musical career.She claimed that because they do not view music as a profession, her parents disapproved of her desire to pursue a career in music.
The “Water” singer claimed that after crying for days, her parents finally gave up.
Tyla recently stated, “My parents weren’t really strict on what I’m doing, but they were strict in terms of me going to the studio than getting a job,” in an interview with Power 106 FM in Los Angeles, California. They remarked, “Music is not a profession.” that it is a pastime.I had to actually cry every day and tell them what I wanted to do as a result.this. I have nothing else I would like to do. It was challenging to persuade them. It’s also not something that happens to us in South Africa. I know a lot of ladies who had aspirations of being musicians but didn’t get the chance to pursue them. My parents were merely attempting to shield me, which is understandable, but I made it clear to them that I want to pursue my musical career.
