Hollywood actress Taraji P. Henson, an American, has expressed dissatisfaction with the way Black women are treated in the entertainment business.
The “Acrimony” actor bemoaned how tired she was of being taken advantage of and seeing other Black female performers voice similar grievances.
Henson claimed in a recent podcast interview with SiriusXM that she was paid significantly less than what was fair.
“I just get tired of working so hard, doing a good job at what I do, and getting paid so little,” she uttered.My sisters’ constant repetition of the same thing irritates me. You grow weary. I hear comments like “You work so hard.” Every time I negotiate, it feels like I’m beginning from scratch since the math isn’t adding up. (sic)
