39 individuals have been sent by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Niger Command to provide security for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in various regions of the state.

The revelation was revealed by the state’s Corps Commandant, Mr. Phillip Ayuba, during a Tuesday interview with the Newsmen in Minna.

He stated that for the 11th administration of the UTME in Niger, which began on Tuesday, security would be provided in the 17 computer-based centers.

According to Ayuba, five employees from the headquarters would oversee the drill throughout the entire state, while two employees would provide protection at each of the centers.

The commandant declared that the purpose of the monitoring team’s formation was to closely oversee how the exercise was carried out throughout the state.

He clarified that in order to guarantee security at the testing locations prior to, during, and following the computer-based exam, the corps would collaborate with the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

In order to guarantee a flawless exam, Ayuba advised potential applicants to follow the law. She also stated that the NSCDC staff will act professionally in fulfilling their duties.

Additionally, he cautioned parents from engaging in malpractice since they would be apprehended and charged with crimes.
