Davido is recognized by the US State of Georgia as a “Outstanding Citizen.”
The State of Georgia has named Nigerian Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, a “Outstanding Georgia Citizen.”
To accept the honor, the “OBO” crooner showed up to the State of Georgia General Assembly meeting on Friday, December 1, 2023.
Davido shared a video of the meeting along with a copy of his proclamation letter on his X account. He commented, “To be recognized as a ‘Outstanding Georgia Citizen,’ I attended the U.S. State of Georgia General Assembly meeting this morning with the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia State Senate. God is admirable.
Brad Raffensperger, Georgia’s Secretary of State, signed the letter announcing Davido as a “Outstanding Georgia Citizen.” “May this Distinguished Citizen shall be accorded every civility in his capacity as a Goodwill Ambassador representing Georgia when he visits other states, countries outside the US, or anyplace else he may go in the future. A portion of the letter stated, “Thank you for your service to our State.
Davido was born in the State of Georgia and is a citizen there. Atlanta, the state capital, is where his Nigerian parents gave birth to him.
