Actor Daniel Etim Effiong of Nollywood has provided an explanation for why female actors, unlike their male colleagues, do not solicit donations from the general public.According to him, society is set up such that “men are quick to rise to women’s needs,” but when a man is faced with difficulties, he attempts to solve them on his own until he reaches a breaking point at which point he decides to ask for help from the government.
A man’s money is for his entire family, according to Effiong, whereas a woman’s money is mostly for herself.
Recently, the actor was highlighted on the Bahd And Boujee Podcast, which is co-hosted by reality personality Tolanibaj and actress Moet Abebe.
“Why are male actors the ones who come online to ask for crowdfunding?” questioned co-host Moet.
In response, Effiong said, “Historically, in the society that we all exist in, women have traditionally been the concern of men. Men are therefore quick to step up and meet a woman’s needs or find a solution whenever there is an issue with her.
