Yemi Alade, a well-known musician from Nigeria, has denied any similarities with her coworker Tiwa Savage.The “Johnny” crooner was enjoying her performance at the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) opening ceremony in Ivory Coast when a fan commented on her X (formerly Twitter) page, saying she was better than Tiwa Savage.
Alade was unimpressed with the fan’s remark and encouraged him to celebrate and support them both, emphasizing that they are both “winning.”
She described comparison as “the thief of joy.”
The fan wrote, “U better than Tiwa [Savage].”
In response, Yemi Alade said, “Comparison robs joy.” We’re both winning, therefore rejoice and help each other out.
